A marathon a day helps you work rest and play

Ultra Athlete Tony Allen

SG Petch Peugeot Sales Executive Tony Allen is running 31 marathons in 31 days during December for a charity close to his heart.

The 26 mile a day challenge is the equivalent of running from his home in Sunderland to Milan (832 miles) and will see him burn off around 104,000 calories along the way.

Tony’s 52, will mostly run at night, so that he can fit the fundraiser around his day job selling new and used cars at our executive at our McMullen Road branch in Darlington, County Durham.

His chosen charity is St Benedict’s Hospice at Ryhope, which gave palliative care to his late mum.

Tony said: “My mum passed away with cancer four years ago and the hospice were great. They came out with a palliative care team and looked after her at the house. The service was brilliant and it’s nice to give something back”.

You can follow Tony’s progress on his Twitter @kielder10 and donate on his RED (Running a marathon everyday) page here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=stroller1963
