Top of the range Kia Sportage KX4 launched
Kia are adding a new top of the range “KX-4” version to there current Sportage range. It features a higher output turbo diesel engine alongside the most luxurious level of specification yet.
The new Sportage “KX-4” will use a 181bhp version of Kia’s 2.0-litre CRDI turbodiesel engine with a choice of a six-speed manual or automatic transmission with an intelligent All-Wheel Drive System.
The “KX-4” will include all the specification of the “KX-3 Sat-Nav” but with some extras which include a Parallel Parking Assist system with all-round parking sensors, keyless smart entry system with engine stop/start button and stainless steel door scuff plates.
Standard equipment also includes 18-inch alloy, privacy glass, full leather upholstery, seven inch touchscreen Sat Nav system with EU mapping, Xenon lights, panoramic sunroof, automatic lights and wipers, dual-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, cruise control, iPod connectivity, colour reversing camera and a seven-speaker stereo complete with external amplifier and subwoofer.
The “KX-4” with a manual transmission completes 0-60mph dash in 9.4 seconds, it can reach a top speed of 120mph, co2 emissions are 158g/km and 46.3mpg is achieved on the official combined cycle. The automatic version has a top speed of 121mph whilst the co2 emissions are 189g/km and the official combined cycle figure is 39.2mpg. Both versions fall into insurance category 19.
The KX-4 is only available in All-Wheel Drive (AWD) unlike the other trim versions 1,2,3 and Sat Nav which were also available in two wheel drive. The Sportage ‘KX-4’ 2.0 CRDi 181bhp manual is priced at £27,195 OTR and the automatic version at £28,500 OTR and both versions come with a fully transferable, seven year warranty as standard.
