The All-new Mazda 6 Defies the Competition to Save Company Car Drivers Money

The all-new Mazda 6 can provide company car drivers a top-notch diesel performance with class-leading emissions and excellent fuel economy, thanks to Mazda’s breakthrough SKYACTIV technology.

Mazda’s engineers have delivered an upper-medium-segment car with leading environmental-friendliness without resorting to the smaller engine displacements like some of its rivals.

The all-new Mazda 6 which is available from January next year, will be available in a Saloon or Tourer body style and company car drivers have the choice of two diesel and two petrol engines and six trim levels (SE, SE-Nav, SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav).

The two diesel engines are the 2.2-litre SKYACTIV-D 150ps and 175ps and the two petrol engines are the 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G 145ps and 165ps.

Some manufactures have introduced smaller engines into the CD segment model ranges to try and win over company car drivers who want low emissions and fuel-sipping models. This However can compromise in loss of power and performance.

The Mazda 6 2.2 litre SKYACTIV-D offers drivers 150ps and the lowest CO2 emissions figure in its class of 108g/km and 67.3mpg, all of the figures are better than the Ford Mondeo 1.6 TDCi and Passat TDI . This means that company car driver benefit-in-kind tax bills see figures below.

They can have power, performance and driving fun with low emissions and excellent fuel economy due to our SKYACTIV technology.  That cannot be obtained from rival manufacturers who have resorted to smaller engine displacements in pursuit of emission and fuel economy improvements.” comments Mazda Head of Fleet Steve Tomlinson.

He continues “On top of all that company car drivers’ save themselves money with the 2.2-litre SKYACTIV-D 150ps engine powering the all-new Mazda6, having the lowest CO2 emissions figure in the class.  That also translates into Class 1A National Insurance savings for employers.”

The all-new Mazda 6 SE Nav standard specification includes integrated Bluetooth and Mazda Multimedia system with a 5.8-inch colour touch screen display, air-conditioning, cruise control, satellite navigation with TomTom technology, 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime running lights and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Traction Control System (TCS).
