New Nissan Pulsar Set to Shake Up the C-Segment
Nissan’s passion for innovation and technology has seen it transform the family car landscape over the last seven years. Now using the same innovative design approach Nissan have expanded its product portfolio with the Pulsar the all-new family hatchback.
The Pulsar is instantly recognisable with its trademark Nissan V-motion grille and boomerang signature headlamp characteristics and bold muscular curves. It’s been designed and engineered for Europe and will be built at Nissan’s Barcelona production facility.
This new C-segment model has been fitted with a range of accessible technologies designed to make the ride feel confident and comfortable. Nissan’s reputation for introducing new-to-sector technologies has been strengthened with a wide number of features usually reserved for premium or luxury models.
These include NissanConnect system that offers seamless integration with smartphones and full satellite navigation functions. Nissan’s acclaimed Safety Shield System with Moving Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Sport Warning.
The Pulsar launches with two highly advanced engines – a 1.2 litre DIG-T petrol unit and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel. Both of the engines offer exceptional performance, economy and refinement, and integrate a host of fuel-saving technologies to help owners go further for less.
The range comes in four familiar trim grades: Visia, Acenta, n-tec and Tekna with all-four offering exceptional high levels of standard equipment. All grades include air-conditioning, five-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display, alloy wheels and electric windows all-round. Also a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, six airbags and Stop & Start system are all fitted as standard across the entire range.
The entry level Visia is priced from £15,995 and includes all of the above features. The next level is the Acenta model, starting from £17,645. Customers will benefit from added extra’s like Forward Emergency braking, automatic headlights and wipers and the ingenious i-Key system.
Meanwhile, the n-tec starts at £18,995 and it adds 17″ alloy wheels, privacy glass, LED Headlamps, Colour reversing camera and NissanConnect2, and finally at the top of the range is the Tekna, priced from £20,345, and adds the Nissan Safety Shield Technologies including Forward Emergency Braking, Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning for the ultimate passenger protection.
