Packed full of functional but fashionable features the new Picanto City is attractively priced at £9,995 on the road.

Like all models in the originals collection, the Picanto City sports the signature red grille, 14” alloy wheels, chrome door handles, heated door mirrors and front fog lights and is available in two colours, Blaze Red or Bright Silver at no extra cost.

Thanks to the built in reversing sensors parking will be a breeze, no more worrying about those tight city centre spaces.

Streaming music from your favourite gadget via the Picanto City’s 4 speaker stereo is simplicity thanks to Bluetooth connectivity. Built-in audio controls on the leather trimmed steering wheel allows you to manage volume and track selection whilst keeping your eyes on the road. Drivers can also make hands-free calls via voice recognition.

The interior boasts premium cloth upholstery, ample storage for personal items and unique ambient LED lighting and a “Hollywood” style vanity mirror with three-stage illumination sequence.

Power will come from Kia’s low-emission three-cylinder Kappa 1.0 MPI engine, with a five-speed manual gearbox, the ‘City’ produces just 99g/km of CO2 and delivers 67.3 mpg on the combined cycle, making it exempt from road tax and the London congestion charge.

Safety is a high priority and the Picanto City boasts Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management and Hill Assist Control. Significantly, ‘City’ is fitted with Cornering Brake Control, which is a first in the Picanto range. With six airbags, the ‘City’ is extremely safe and is also equipped with five three-point seatbelts all round, making it one of the few 5-seaters in its class.

Naturally, ‘City’ is covered by Kia’s pioneering seven-year warranty and owners can cover the first three services of the car with Kia’s Care-3 service package for just £269. The Picanto ‘City’ is one of the first models to adopt Kia’s new re-designed bonnet badge, which will adorn new models progressively over the coming months
