Mazda Introduce the New MX-5 Kuro Special Edition
Mazda have taken inspiration from there growing involvement in motorsport of late, and come up with a new Special Edition of the MX-5 Sports-car, the ‘Kuro’.
The name ‘Kuro’ in Japanese means Black, which is echoed in the sporty dark accents, of this latest pair of Special Edition models. This new Special Edition includes Dark gunmetal 17 inch alloy wheels, brilliant black roof and brilliant black door mirrors. Customers can choose from three dramatic colours, Velocity Red Mica, Crystal White Pearlescent and Brilliant Black.
The ‘Kuro’ Special Edition model is based on the MX-5 SE and Sport Tech models. It’s available as a 1.8i Soft-top or a 2.0i Roadster Coupe. Additional specification over the origianal SE and Sport Tech models include a diffuser-style rear sports bumper a larger diameter sports exhaust, unique race car inspired exterior graphics and also Black detailing around the front grille and fog lights plus a unique ‘Kuro Edition’ badging.
The interior has also had some sports inspiration, with Unique Stone and Black heated leather seats, Stone leather door inserts with contrasting red stitching, alloy pedals, premium floor mats with race logo, a silver interior deco panel with red accents and climate control air conditioning.
There are only 200 examples of the Kuro (Soft top) and 400 of the Kuro (Roadster Coupe) available in the UK. The Kuro 1.8i Soft-top version is priced at £18,495 and the MX-5 2.0i Kuro Roadster Coupe version costs £21,995.
