Hyundai Motorsport i20 WRC to star at 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed with Dani Sordo
This will be the first public outing for the Hyundai i20 WRC – set to wow the crowds at Goodwood Festival of Speed in June.
The car will be put through its paces by an experienced WRC driver, Dani Sordo, and can be seen twice daily from Friday to Sunday, on the 1.16 mile HillClimb and the Forest Stage Rally.
Sordo, who has competed 3 times in the Hyundai i20 WRC so far in the 2014 WRC calendar and secured the young team’s maiden fastest stage times at Rally Portugal said:
“I am delighted to be showcasing the Hyundai i20 WRC car to the crowds for the first time to the UK public at such an iconic event in the motorsports calendar. As a driver, it’s great to be part of the Festival that celebrates the great and the good in motorsport and which engages with so many fans from across the globe. I will, however, be keeping a very close eye on my team mates, Thierry and Juho who will be battling it out in the Rally Poland at the same time. I wish them and our team the best of luck.”
Thierry Neuville and Juho Hanninen will be competing in the 7th round of the 2014 FIA World Rally Championship – Rally Poland – which returns to the WRC calendar after a five year absence.
