All-new Sorento is awarded an iF Design Award
The All-new Sorento has been awarded one of the worlds most important prizes for excellence in design an iF Design Award.
The all-new third generation Kia Sorento is the seventh Kia model to receive the coveted award. Since 2010 Kia has snatched one every year thanks to Kia Venga, Sportage, Optima, Picanto, pro-ceed and Soul. This is the first time for Sorento, awarded in the ‘Product’ category. The Sorento’s overall quality and design were top of the honours list, followed by finish, innovation, environmental impact and saftey.
The All-new Sorento boasts greater versatility, high-tech features and a new all-wheel-drive system. Its swept-back profile is now smoother, creating a more elegant appearance. Available in 5 or 7 seats the wheelbase is now longer providing more room internally for passengers or cargo.
The Sorento is packed with high-tech spec and a range of premium features which include 360-degree Around View Monitor and smart parking system. Options for smart safety systems are available, such as lane departure warning to rear cross traffic alert and traffic sign recognition, through to adaptive cruise control.
The Sorento is powered by an efficient 200ps 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. Four-wheel drive models are fitted with Ki’s new Dynamax All-Wheel-Drive system torque vectoring.
The All-New Sorento goes on sale across Europe in March 2015.
